Our Journey
We are Stephanie and Murilo, and together, we form Portside Experts.
As a team, we cumulate 14 years of life at sea as crewmembers for some of the largest cruise lines.
Our journeys have taken us to approximately 150 ports in over 70 countries. As crewmembers, we learnt the easiest and best ways to travel in these ports, avoiding the tourist traps and finding out the best places to experience.
We strive to help YOU have the best experience in port by sharing the very things cruisers might not know, but that we, crewmembers, DO know. We focus on everything that happens on the gangway and beyond as you go explore the beautiful destinations. Things that you should bring, where you should go, what you should book, etc. We teach you the quickest way to town, address those tourist traps and teach you the crew way, which most often turns out to be the cheaper way. We also give tips to help first time cruisers enjoy the ship life!

With Portside Experts, our mission is to to help both, new and avid cruisers, make the most of their time in port by sharing the secrets of the ports of call. We discuss the port “side” of all things related to cruising.
